Black Women in Law
THE ASK
Craft a tailored solution for Black Women in Law (BWIL), a UK nonprofit dedicated to empowering Black women in the legal field. Create a cohesive identity that resonates with stakeholders and enhances BWIL’s presence while aligning with its core mission of representation and empowerment.
THE RESPONSE
For BWIL, we created a bold and meaningful logo that encapsulates the strength, ambition, and grace of Black women in the legal profession. The design process began with mood-boarding and ideation sessions to refine the visual direction. The final logo features an elegant burgundy monogram, symbolizing ambition, wealth, and power. The interwoven curves form a “W” for Women when placed horizontally and a “B” for Black when rotated vertically, reinforcing the duality and balance of BWIL’s mission.
The logo is both simple and impactful, reflecting the sophistication and professionalism of the nonprofit while remaining approachable and inspiring to its audience.

IMPACT
Designed a visually striking and symbolic logo, establishing BWIL’s identity as a leader in empowering Black women in the legal sector.
Successfully balanced simplicity with cultural significance, resonating deeply with BWIL’s community and stakeholders.
Enhanced BWIL’s brand presence, creating a strong foundation for outreach and future growth.
